sometimes my photos hint at a subject, other times they are 100% open to interpretation.
i have a love of commercial and historic aviation. i hope to expand this section in the coming months.
birds are both fun and maddening to photograph. this year, i am planning several bird projects. stay tuned.
i love rusty, old, beat-up cars. they seem to still have souls, despite their scars.
in 2016 i had the chance to visit chernobyl and pripyat.
if you want to gain some perspective, walk through east vancouver early in the morning as people are waking up.
i have a love/hate relationship with flowers. i prefer to shoot imperfect subjects, broken things, and empty places. flowers are beautiful - a light in the dark, and too many people are taking pictures of them. i try to see something different in them.
my dogs and cats are a source of joy. to watch the dogs run is breathtaking.
i like visiting old graves of people i've never met. in some ways i feel like i'm saying "hi" to someone who hasn't had a visitor in years.
i've always had music in me. these days the music is very quiet and doesn't come that often. i also manage the best music store on vancouver island and the instrument makes a fantastic muse.
